The hotel is conveniently located near a subway station, making it easy to access many attractions. The room was clean but small, limiting space for luggage. The dining experience offered good value for money but was limited in options. The service was satisfactory, including housekeeping and laundry. However, being near a non-main JR station required additional transportation.

This hotel's location was superb with easy access to the subway and within walking distance to many attractions, although the absence of a direct bus to specific scenic spots was a bit awkward. The rooms were spacious, clean, and provided great facilities, though the traditional Japanese-style sleeping arrangement might not suit everyone. The service was excellent, especially with efficient housekeeping and laundry services available. The facilities, including a Japanese-style bath on the same floor for both genders, were well-maintained and convenient.

The hotel rooms were somewhat outdated, lacking sunlight due to their corner location. However, the presence of doors between rooms was appreciated. The hotel had its quirks but was accommodating with early room usage assumptions.

The hotel's location near Nijo Castle and the vibrant Nishiki market is a major plus, with good public transport connections and lovely eateries nearby. However, the noise from ongoing road works outside was a significant downside. The room's cleanliness fell short of expectations, and the initial mix-up with our accommodation was an inconvenience.
