Reviews and Ratings
The hotel offers rooms that are quite tiny but not too expensive in and around Kyoto, accommodating up to 12 people. It started off with a wrong room but was rectified later. The location, though slightly congested and lacking direct buses to eastern scenic points, is very near the subway station and the center of Kyoto City, close to the UNESCO certified Nijo-jo castle. The dining options varied from being very expensive and uninteresting to good value for money with drinks. Facilities are great with organic home-made products.
The hotel rooms are smaller than expected, but they have everything needed for a comfortable stay like tea, a TV, good hot water, reliable Wi-Fi, and efficient air conditioning.
The hotel is in a convenient location, near the city center with easy access to downtown attractions. The dining experience had its ups and downs with variable food quality. On the bright side, the service was top-notch and the hotel facilities were satisfactory.
The hotel offered small yet acceptable rooms, though the noise from ongoing road works was bothersome at times. The service was satisfactory, but the value for money could be questioned. The location was convenient, with proximity to subway and attractions, yet requiring some effort to reach from the station. The dining experience was uniquely Japanese but lacked space. Overall, the facilities were decent, although not exceptional.
My stay at the hotel was quite pleasant overall. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the staff was really nice. However, it was a bit pricey, probably because of the holiday season during my stay. The location was great, close to the subway and Nijo Castle, but some facilities could've been better. The dining options were a mixed bag, with some being overpriced and not very appealing, while others offered good value for money.
The hotel is conveniently located near a subway station, making it easy to access many attractions. The room was clean but small, limiting space for luggage. The dining experience offered good value for money but was limited in options. The service was satisfactory, including housekeeping and laundry. However, being near a non-main JR station required additional transportation.
This hotel's location was superb with easy access to the subway and within walking distance to many attractions, although the absence of a direct bus to specific scenic spots was a bit awkward. The rooms were spacious, clean, and provided great facilities, though the traditional Japanese-style sleeping arrangement might not suit everyone. The service was excellent, especially with efficient housekeeping and laundry services available. The facilities, including a Japanese-style bath on the same floor for both genders, were well-maintained and convenient.
The hotel rooms were somewhat outdated, lacking sunlight due to their corner location. However, the presence of doors between rooms was appreciated. The hotel had its quirks but was accommodating with early room usage assumptions.
The hotel's location near Nijo Castle and the vibrant Nishiki market is a major plus, with good public transport connections and lovely eateries nearby. However, the noise from ongoing road works outside was a significant downside. The room's cleanliness fell short of expectations, and the initial mix-up with our accommodation was an inconvenience.
The hotel is conveniently located near the Unesco certified Nijo-jo castle, with good public transport connections and lovely eateries nearby. The Japanese room provided a unique sleeping experience at a decent price. Although situated in a livelier neighborhood, the proximity to the Gion neighborhood and main attractions made it a convenient choice.
